Training:
Training at the Boca Raton Resort & Club includes an Orientation Process which is divided into four phases.

New Hire Orientation:
A formal eight-hour program designed to orient newly hired staff to the history, philosophies, policies, procedures, benefits and guest satisfaction strategies of the Resort. The program includes an extensive tour of the Resort facilities.

Management Orientation:
A formal eight-hour program designed to train newly hired managers and supervisors how to hire, pay, train, recognize, enforce policies, coach and discipline staff. The program focuses on state and federal laws, as well as Boca policies and procedures.Departmental Orientation: An informal program designed to introduce newly hired staff to their assigned working department. Departmental orientation focuses on meeting the players and becoming familiar with job tasks, standards and procedures.Assignment of a "Boca Buddy", an informal program in which a new and an experienced staff member are paired together to assist the new staff member with the adjustment to the new work and cultural environment.

Departmental Orientation:

Management Development Seminar Series:
Monthly management training seminars designed to build leadership skills and state and federal legal knowledge. Topics include managing sexual harassment, The Fair Labor Standards Act, understanding the Family Medical Leave Act, legal interviewing, minimizing workplace violence, preparing and conducting performance appraisals, as well as other practical management topics.

Educational Institute: Resort taught classes in conjunction with American Hotel Motel Association in which participants earn a diploma in hospitality management. Classes are taught by Resort managers and introduce the newly hired staff members to topics such as hospitality industry training, financial accounting, food and beverage service, sales and marketing, front office procedures, facilities management and more. Each class focuses on methods used within the industry and the Resort.
